Valley Waterfall

I am in love with waterfalls now! Continuing to work on those pesky evergreens, next painting will be evergreen heavy to practice some more! The black gesso may be my new favorite

Black canvases are truly wonderful to work with, aren't they? Your waterfall is very striking. Painting evergreens can be pretty challenging. My advice would be to experiment with different ways of painting them and not necessarily try and follow what Bob Ross does too much. That way, you'll be able to develop your own style and perhaps find a way that works for you. One of our members here, Dracula, wrote an excellent article on how to add detail to evergreens. I'd highly recommend taking a look at it!

Waterfall is silky! and certainly it catches attention in this painting. As lightsnow said evergreens are somehow the toughest. I'd recommend "Painting with Yovette" video on youtube where she explains how to make evergreens. There is 15 minutes video only about them.
