Thank you! I used a special type of paper made for oil painting, I just went into my local art supply shop and asked for oil paper. It's got a nice canvas texture on it.
Thanks for the info! What is composition of that paper? cellulose? Does it pull oil? Did you prime it before painting as additional layer? Did paint slip when you tried to apply next layer? or texture is rough enough to prevent paint from slipping and wiping by the brush?
You really nailed this! I did this one as my first seascape today too, I think Joyce does a good job instructing how to paint waves. If you haven’t ever seen any of her other work, you should check it out! She was amazing. Superb job with this, excited to see more seascapes from you.

What did you use for canvas? It looks like paper. Is it paper or is it primed cotton?
