Two Seasons

I got a little ambitious and did this one on the same canvas. Overall, I’m happy with it. I don’t know how Bob runs his brush through all those colors and it still looks like snow. Mine always gets contaminated by all the underlying colors. I really like my highlights on both and I usually don’t.

The texture you got on the tree on the right is amazing in both paintings!
Dont worry about the snow, white objects are never white. They reflect everything around. So your choice here is great as your sky is gray.

Lovely foliage! I have the same issue with paint contamination. I've started wiping my brushes regularly on paper towels in between paint additions. I've seen Bill Alexander doing that. I've almost never seen Bob do that, though. He was truly a master of this style.
