Twilight Beauty

LJMpaintings 18 May 2020

This is on an 8 x 10 canvas. It was very fun to do. I had trouble with the with the detail on the evergreens so I tried a different technique, and I think the left tree is too chunky for this size of canvas.

True, it is less easy to paint on smaller canvasses, specially, specially without adapted brushes and knives!
That tree is not bad at all, one just has too think they are very close to it when looking into the distance.
Great scenery LJM!!

Hi Voy. Thanks so much for your comments . you are so right that it is much harder to paint on a smaller scale....(i still don't like that tree) and i wish that the colours were more vibrant

I really like the colors in this one!!

Following the comments: I was terrified to even attempt painting on anything bigger than 11x14 when I started. My friend bought me a multi pack of 18x20 canvas and I couldn't imagine how I'd ever fill all that space. Now ... the bigger, the better for me. I think it's much more difficult to paint on smaller surfaces. You do a great job of it though. 🤩

Hi Froggie. Thanks for your comments. :) I appreciate it. I have done a few larger canvasses..but I am not completely in a comfort zone with them. I am getting one ready to do again.
