Mountain Reflections

oliviagibbs 07 Jun 2020

My 2nd attempt at a bob ross painting. I am having trouble with the mountains. I also have trouble making the bushes and trees brighter. Constructive criticism is welcome because I want to improve

As Bob said always use the knife without pressure. Please read my article on this site.
And your evergreens are lack of base color on the contrary to apply too much paint to the highlights. When you highlight the bushes, you need to use more liquid white and then you have to touch softly to the bushes.

Ok I didnt know I should use liquid white on the highlights! I tried to go lightly with the pallet knife but it didnt seem to work. I will read your article and hopefully I can pinpoint what I need to change. Thank you for your input!

My pleasure and happy painting !
