Mountain in an Oval

dracula 13 Jun 2020

After struggling with contact paper for a bit I decided to experiment with using overlapping strips of low-adhesion painter's tape. (In the United States, it's usually blue). This tape comes up easily, but sticks better and is less fussy than the contact paper. I think I will use it again in the future, though it does feel a little wasteful. But, if I balance against my sanity, it's probably worth it!

Impressive skies , wonderful details, beautiful mountains as usual.

Dracula, everything that happens in far away is so mystic. I think your studies made those effects possible. Great job on this one!

It feels it is so cold there and may be even Stephen King novels get alive there.

this is impressive

Great painting! I recently got myself some clear, matte Contact paper and it sticks so much better than the white one I had before. I'd recommend giving that one a try. I got a tube on Amazon.

This is beautiful. That tree is beautiful. You do great work with grasses.

You nailed this painting! The sky looks amazing, the mountain, the distant trees. It's all so good

This is fantastic. I really like the sky (chilling) and the mountains (imposing). Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work.

Very well done! Amazing sky, mountains, and trees! I’m trying to imagine using painters tape and cutting out the oval. That sounds challenging, too.
