Hidden Lake

Lalabaka 25 Aug 2020

12x12 canvas, 3rd Ross painting.
I decided to try this painting out because I wanted a soft mountain. I’m still struggling with had snow to my mountains so when I saw this, I was happy I didn’t have to work with such a complicated (for me) technique this time around. I feel my path turned into some sort of small ravine or chocolate landslide that led to a murky lake. But overall I am happy with it, especially with the small tree in the foreground! Who knew painting a tree with the knife would be so addictive?
