Peaceful Haven

Midnite Painter 28 Aug 2020

Yesterday evening I covered the previous version of Peaceful Haven that I had done months ago with liquid white; I knew I could do better and might as well reuse the canvas. The white was still wet when I started it today. When I did the first version, I didn’t have actual 1-2” oil paint brushes, so that made a big difference.

Great distance you made with those forest layers. They are going through 3 values but also they are getting lighter, bluer and grayer with distance to tell viewer about aerial perspective.
