Lakeside Cabin

dracula 29 Aug 2020

I think this is my last painting to complete season 10. As I've also done in recent paintings, I opted to make the cabin a little smaller relative to the trees around it, but I might have taken it too far.

Great receding of the trees to the horizon line. Have you heard about Geshtalt in art? This is very interesting topic, but so difficult for understanding....

Sky is so very gentle and water is super realistic!

Beautiful painting yet again. It would be nice to disappear into that little cabin. You continue to develop your distinctive style. I immediately recognize your paintings. Fantastic work!

As soon as I saw it I thought how clever you were to make that cabin the size it is. It really has accentuated the vastness of its surroundings. I dabble in miniatures (dolls house stuff, model gardens etc), what scale is a tree? it's whatever scale you want it to be and to the viewer the scale can be varied by whatever you add to it. Your tiny cabin has made your trees look very proud. And once again, your trees are beautiful.

I realy like your style! To me it s look like old masters paint more then bob ross, something like bob idea old masters look !
