Autumn Palette

KJ 24 Oct 2020

This is an acrylic version of Autumn Palette. I had a lot of fun with this one. My painting started off a bit too dark so I opted for the highlighted shrubs in the foreground. The big tree was my favorite part. In this painting, Bob has you use the liner brush to create the highlights on the big tree. I have heard him talk about it on other episodes, but this was the first time I had used the technique. I'm sure it is more difficult with acrylic, but it still worked quite well. This is a 16 x 20 canvas

This is beautifully done. Fantastic detail work on the large tree and fencing!

Thank you ForestVueGallery!

This is really awesome! There is so much detail in this, I keep looking around the painting and discovering new gems.

Thank you doggymommee!! I'm getting a little more comfortable with acrylic!! I was pleased with this outcome!!

It’s lovely any acrylic painting done in Bob Ross is a great achievement. I have been afraid to try this but seeing it done in acrylic I will give it a try.

Thank you paintcrazy! Acrylic painting is definitely more of a challenge! I painted a second piece to go with this painting because I liked the outcome and I'm actually working on a third! Happy Painting as Bob would say!
