This is my second painting I have done. Started off with my canvas too wet, but felt I recovered ok. I continue to struggle with the knife work, but recognize it may be in part to the wet canvas.

I have difficulty with a knife as well, someone mentioned that a canvas board might also help too.
I do like your composition and the trees have a wind swept as well as wintery look.
