Bob used blue gesso in at least one version and in the Joy of Painting book. If I tried again, I would use a softer blue.

Softer more pastelled blue would go better with the sky and the white, yes.

Aprt from that, it is just an excellent painting! Mountains skies, reflections, bushes ... really a wide talent you deployed.

Mountain is magnificent! In case you think that blue is a bit too far from the entire color scheme, think about glazing with alizarin and zinc white mix, not titanium. But this is only after it dries for 2-3 weeks.

Those mountains are perfection friend. 'preciate the foresight on those reflections as well
