Nothing but mud , sort of getting the hang of the mountain breaks , think I may just do a few with just those for a bit

Yeh this was just the canvas paper for oil so its not primed at all with gesso , just the magic white base

Did you have a liquid on the canvas for this as well? I find that really helps, and a good primed canvas too, though I struggle with mountains, I have considered just doing mountains, to practise. I can see the breaks, if you are using the palette knife watch careful how Bob holds his. ( I realised I start too low then crash into the bottom of the easel, and then have to move the canvas, and lose my flow).
You have some interesting shapes in here, keep going at it!
