This is my acrylic version of Roadside Barn. I'm having fun with acrylics until I can return to oils. Bob always makes everything look so easy! Foliage is always a challenge. I'm not sure which is harder oils or acrylics! Still each painting is a learning experience! These are liquitex acrylics on a 16 X 20 canvas.

Thanks ForestVue! All of your concerns with acrylics are correct. The working time is so short, especially difficult if you've mixed a color and don't know if you can re-create it !! I prefers oil painting, but do acrylics when the weather is too hot or too cold. More challenging, but fun. Thank you for your kind words! And good luck if you try more in acrylic!

This is a neat painting! I’ve never tried acrylics in a landscape but maybe I will sometime. It’s the thought of blending and keeping the brushes from drying that concern me. Your trees, building and fencing are great, and I like those pinks in the clouds.
