I tried this on a large canvas and the sky was terrible. It was soooo dark and I couldn't keep the Prussian blue out of my yellow! I think I used too much paint.
Had a bunch a small canvases from my acrylic days so decided to use that! I only had acrylic brushes so couldn't get the right effects but I think it came out OK!
Going to get better small brushes and try another lil Ross!
This is a hard one to paint for sure. I like how you layered in the snow and the brush strokes on the trees in the back. What size is it?
Thank you, Umagaan and Rosalind!!
I went in thinking it looked like an easier one and NOPE lol
Its a 12x8 in. canvas. It's a perfect size, looks so cute drying on my table easel!
In this painting I found it difficult to pain the snow with the knife and then to paint the bushes over it. On the other hand there are no mountains or hills in the painting so there are less things to paint. Anyway, each painting is a challenge in itself and every time we learn something new. And I really love that.
