Western Expanse

LinzeePaints 15 Apr 2021

I'm starting to feel more confident in my ability to change my painting to make it more my style. I'm not quite happy with the clouds in this one (I need more practice with a paint knife). The grasses are too heavy handed, but I'm going to embrace that feature as my style since I do it in almost every painting 😉 I brightened the water and didn't make as much reflection as Bob because I wanted it to look like the Southern Alberta foothills where I grew up.

Developing your own style is good. I like your mountains..they show depth and dimension..and your grasses are nice and detailed..shows that it is foreground.
