On stretched canvas 30x40 cm, did the lower part in the Blue Moon technique, this type of wave is easier to paint. Like the colors used in this painting. maybe the sea is a bit too dark.

Thanks Matt, the photo is worse then the original photo, no horizontal lines in the sky, don't know what happened during uploading ...
I noticed with small canvas when there is thicker paint (or canvas texture is seen) due to compression this Moir effect becomes strong.
Added picture of portrait version on canvasboard 24x30 cm. Covered the lower part with second layer of black gesso for a reattempt.
