I thought about this painting for weeks trying to figure out what to do. I am not a big fan of New York right, so repeating an apple was out of the question. I wondered about other cities and other parks. I hope the cut out shape on this 20 x 16 canvas is clear, but for those who can not tell it is in the shape of an indycar. SInce I live near Indianapolis I was trying to figure out what shape would work and settled on this one. Inside is the skyline of Indianapolis at sunset from Highland Park. I took some creative license with details in the skyline and the park itself. Overall I am happy with the results. Other things might work a bell for Philadelphia, an angel for LA, or maybe an old wooden ship for Boston are some ideas, but I do not live near those places.

This is very cool, I am glad you came up with a way to make this one meaningful to you. I've been reading this one myself and trying to come up with a way to approach it that suits my personality. Nice work!
