I know right? When doing a complex underpainting I also lose patience fast. You certainly did this piece justice!

Turned out nice! I also have to be in the mood to do these trees/branches gesso underpaintings. But once I am in the mood to do it, I do not mind the time so much. (when I did this one it took me about 1 1/2 hours to do all of the gesso stuff, but only about 20 minutes to do the rest) I know that once that portion is completed, the actual oil painting part takes very little time, so my brain gets that easy satisfaction pay off at the end!

Very true Pam. And the other thing doing the gesso stuff is easy clean up and only two colors.
