My neighbor asked me to create a painting based off a photo she sent me.. I think it’s pretty good.

Wow! You should be really proud! I read somewhere recently that it is much harder and frustrating for beginning artists to re-create from a photo, so kudos to you for having the guts to give it a go. I'd say you definitely captured the essence of the photo, I am sure your neighbor is going to love it!
I really like your changes to the foreground. In the photo it’s so dark and the lighter composition is much more pleasing to look at.
