Botched the tree on the right, so I had to turn it into one of those "full" trees in fall that end up dropping all there leaves overnight. That salvage job also resulted in covering up a mountain. Trust me. It's back there. 😁
Turned into a happy accident? I think the big tree looks excellent.

Thanks everyone. Glad you enjoyed this one. The more I look at it, the more I think I won't gesso over it. Besides, the canvas has been re-used three or times, so I think I got my money's worth out of it. 🙂
I must admit. It felt pretty cool when I was able to fix the big tree and save the overall painting...even though I had to sacrifice some depth in the process. A happy accident indeed.
