Really liked the depth of this one. You can see there's something going on back there with the mountain, but it's so far away that you can't make out any details. Sort of the same thing with the faraway trees and shrubs.
I remember just wanting to do one of those paintings where some shrubbery is "outside of the lines" so to speak. I think I put masking tape around the edges of the canvas. I must've, since there's no way I could've gotten a straight edge like that on my own. 😀
I did get a little carried away with scraping in those sticks and twigs at the bottom. As Bob says, "It just got to feeling so good." As I look at it now, though, it would've been better to leave the twigs out completely. Too white.

graag gedaan Alexander! Hoe langer ik naar sommige schilderijen kijk hoe mooier dat ik ze ga vinden. En dit schilderij is er een van. Ik hoor nog van je ,en blijven schilderen he,want je kunt daar een heel mooie toekomst mee opbouwen...Doei!!!
