I saw a picture of this and thought it was cool, so I tried painting it.
Reflections are perfect. The light colored background trees are very nice! That tree on the left, the foliage is wow. You balanced the dark/light on it VERY well. The shade under that tree is also great and you can feel the darkness there.
Great composition and execution
Constructive:
1. That area behind the archer seems a little empty. Some bushes to tie it in would do the trick i think. Maybe some black gesso underpainting so that a little something shows through after you apply the light background paint? Gives it some more interest.
2. A little "hypnotizing" of the reflection would add to its... reflectiveness?
