My Dad passed away this Christmas Eve, he was a US Submariner who served during some very uncertain times for the world. He was 90 years old when he passed and sharp as a tack. While going through his voluminous files I found that he had saved what is apparently my first painting at the age of 3 years and 7 months. Iβm 66 years old now and admit to getting a little misty eyed when I found it. RIP Dad
Heartfelt condolences Brian. That picture must have been so meaningful to your Dad, and now you have it back again. How very special.
Thank you, Sandy for your kind words. I think this one may be better than my first Bob Ross painting. Lol.
That is so funny...mine wasn't great either...lol!
Thank you, Helen. I believe it was sent to him by my Mom while he was on patrol and back then mail was a huge deal for the sailors.
Iβm sorry to hear about your loss, and I hope that you find comfort in finding your painting. Itβs so special! Thank you for sharing your art and I send my condolences to you!
Hey bro, I sincerely wish you a better year 26.. π©πͺπͺπΊπΈ
Stephierae thank you for your kind words and yes I do find some solace in that he hung on to it. βοΈ
Hey bruder Dirk, thanks and I donβt think 26 could be worse than 25. But I could be wrong, I hope not. πΊπΈπͺπ©πͺ
Sorry for your loss, especially during the holiday season! He was very proud of you!
Thanks for your kind words Heidi βοΈ
Sorry for your loss and sorry that I totally missed this painting. It is amazing that your dad saved this painting until now.
Thank you Tom. I now have it in the traditional βkids place of honor β, my refrigerator door. π

So sorry to hear that Brian! Deepest sympathy but so awesome that he saved that picture! You were an artist at an early age!
