Tried doing a painting from a photo, any advice or feedback appreciated

Love the water but maybe the colour pallette for the trees could be more considered? also more separation? Bash the brush into the paint to create the separation within the bristles, this will give you more realism in the leaves. Sometimes simplicity is the key, stick to two colours and vary the tone, always underpaint first !
