Even thinning out the paint and using a liner brush, I am having a hard time making branches, it doesn't seem like enough paint on the brush. So.....I used a pallet knife edge to make the thinner ones. Am I pressing too hard with the liner brush? It seems to "go into the paint" already on the canvas rather than "gliding over" it. On an 11" x 14" canvas.
This is very pretty. I have the same problem with the liner and I think it is too much pressure. Keep at it, it will come.
Hey Doc and Tomi, I had the same issue and Nancy suggested that instead of thinner, use linseed oil to thin the paint and then really drive the bristles into the paint to fully fully load the brush. It seems to work well.
