Cool ππΌπ©πͺ
Is this an example of abstract? And just curious, did you make the paper yourself? I used to make it years ago with a mesh screen, I was always pleased with the results.
I wouldn't say it is abstract, only a very minimalistic style.
My rule of thumb for recognizing abstract art is that if you can identify the subject, it is not abstract.
The paper is hand-made, but store-bought π
I'd like to try making my own sometime, but haven't come around to it yet.
Ah I see, I wondered because of the parts that are missing. I can see now the difference, thank you. I guess most people would question why make your own paper when you can buy it, but it is very rewarding, experimenting with textures and colour tints. If you use it as a base for your artwork the finished piece is completely unique. "On handmade paper crafted by the artist". To my way of thinking, that adds value. I think you will find it worthwhile. π
Some people also wonder why even paint at all, when you can just buy paintings or have AI generate them π
π€£π€£π€£True, you can have your favourite photo digitally printed onto canvas. When people say they wonder why, they don't get it do they.
