Original Creation

Dotted Desert

ForestVueGallery 07 Mar 2021

My interest in painting began with this type of creation shortly before I encountered the Ross class. I don’t know how many hours I invested in this, but oil painting I found to be much more productive. I do enjoy looking at them and wondering where I found the patience. 11x14

WHAAAAAAAAATTTTTTT? How???? My Gosh, this is awesome!!!!! acrylic? My mouth is hanging open, LOLOLOL ok, closed it

Toadi you’re funny 😆😂! The how is the dotting tools (picture added), some drawing tools to make the perfect circles (that took me much trial and error to find) and a steady hand! I’m sure you could likely do it, and I’ll be happy to give details on the tools 😉

This is beautiful ForestVue! If your patience could handle it, more of these would be awesome! Colors are so bright and vibrant!

Thank you KJ! After I posted this I decided to finish another piece I’d abandoned when I switched to oils. I did enjoy yesterday PM dotting away once I got back in the groove. Acrylics are definitely more vibrant! Thanks for the inspiration to think about doing more. 😊

Dotting tools, cool. I love learning. I didn't even like art class in school but find now at 55/56 now I can't get enough. You amaze me with your knowledge & talent!!!!

oh, I want to see yesterdays masterpiece too!!

Toadi I found the dotting tools are available on Amazon now. I had to order from Canada.

Toadi, like you I didn’t do anything artistic craft wise until the past three years. My teacher has been me just figuring it out along with Bob and other creative souls on the internet. It has brought a bit of magic to life that I truly enjoy.

Super creative use to translate those dots in a landscape! I admire you patience!

Sunnylady, thank you. I was happy when this was finished as all those tiny dots went on forever.
