I saw a similar painting in passing recently and liked the pastel colors so much I had to give it a try. I used Gamblin Red Oxide on the sand, golden ochre and aquamarine blue with hints of oxide for the sky. Iām pleased with it. 16x20

Lilikins, thank you. Iām with you on the vivid colors generally. I used liquid white and the absolute smallest amount of paint except for the grass and sand.
