I’ve been lost in the world of dippety dots the past couple of weeks. I’d forgotten how addictive it is and it’s definitely time to get back to oil painting. 12x12

Oh I love your dot paintings. They are so hypnotically beautiful. Something about it is so soothing. Is that iridescent gold paint you have in there? It’s really striking against the mat purple.

just lovely ..

One would truly believe this is digital created instead of manpowered; SO realistic and so well detailed and finished!
A truly WAW!!!

Lilikins, thank you so much. I enjoy looking at them too. I did use a couple of metallic colors which does set them off.

Thank you davidF.

Thank you Voy! Believe me, I feel like a machine going round and round. I sit the canvas on a rotating cake decorators turntable so I can spin it around as I go!

The 2nd one is a real beauty! The gold really shows off the orange and purple.

Thank you JoJo, I do like the metallic golds.

OH MY WORD, how did I miss these......wow, oh wow oh wow!!!!!! Just lovely!!!! They all are beautiful....you have talent in putting these together, both color & design, not to mention painting. Did you find a better way to do these beauty's so your neck doesn't get stiff?

Thank you so much Toadi! Yes, I finally got my chair adjusted right and my neck is much better. After doing a few to get back in practice it became easier to relax. Fixing a misaligned dot really isn’t an option 😅.

good to hear, do you mark where to put the dots so they are perfectly spaced in the circle or do you dot in one color and then dot in the other to keep the spacing?

Toadi, I just added a photo of the pattern I draw on the canvas with a fabric chalk pen.
To paint I begin at the center and work outward in whole circles.

I knw what I said didn't make sense but thanks for the diagram. I was asking about the big dots & little dots. say on he outside ring. Do you place the big dots and then fill in with the smaller dots or are you always changing tools around? Everytime I look at these I see a different pattern. Coasters are a very cool idea!!!!

Toadi, I probably wasn’t thinking as I’m suffering serious allergy head lately 😅
Yes, I paint the entire row of large dots then go around with the small dots, so no back and forth tool changes.

wow!!!! You seem to have the space so measured your head, you amaze me with your talent
