This is my third painting and once again, it is from the 1 hour instructional DVD set. I left the cabin out because no one lives in my world. Just dinosaurs. But they are sleeping right now. Come back later.
Thanks for the kind words and encouragement. As it pertains to the mountains:
A bit of a phenomenon happens every time I go to paint a mountain. I pick up that knife and magically, I forget what a mountain looks like. Poof! Gone! Out of my head.
I think I want to grab a canvas board and just practice mountains by slapping on any random chapter in mountain mixture and then practice getting the paint to break. Also, structure of the mountain. Just doesn’t feel natural to me just yet, but I will get there soon enough.

I can relate with your comment on mountains. The same thing happens to me. Until you mentioned the 1hr videos, I had no idea there were more than the one posted on YouTube. So I looked it up and bought a 10 disc set. Thanks!
@thormach, they are really good. He goes slowly and overstates what other may feel is obvious. For beginners like me, there is no obvious so I like them.

I really like your water, it looks really icey. It's perfectly fine to leave to the cabin out, it's your painting! Try to cover more of that black line around your mountain tops, you will get a more natural edge. Well done.
