In the early hours of christmas eve, thick fog still rolls up and down the mountainside, clouds shrouding the rising sun.
While we still sleep in our cabins, houses and homes, tucked into our warm blankets, the winter air still engulves nature in it's harsh cold grip. Yet there is such beauty to be found in the frozen landscapes. Frozen lakes, trees decorated with snow, a play of colors in all the shades of white and grey and blue. Melancholic yet calm.
Since I did not really find the inspiration to paint a "real" christmas themed picture I thought I'd paint the picture with some words.

Thanks so much people!! Really glad you like it! Especially a painting that didnt worknout for me put me on a painting/motivation hiatus for quite some time
