I am feeling a lack of inspiration lately. However it is really nice to know that I seemimgly always can rely on a good old deep foresr scene and just try my go-to composition in another color scheme! This orange one worked out quite well for me I think and I feel I am really getting the hang of those leaves.
Anyway, how do you deal with lack of inspiration? Would love to read your thoughts!
I really like your orange version Marc! I am trying to complete all of Bob‘s JOP works and still have over 100 to go. When the next one on my list comes up and it is one that I don’t particularly like I have to remind myself to do my best and not give it short shrift just to get it done and checked off my list.
Thanks for your feedback folks! I actually prefer this one too, Terry. My girlfriend liles the pink one more though haha. I'm not if other themes than landscapes are my thing but I am certainly interested in trying more buildings or other manmade objects in the future. I just have to build up the confidence to try it out since I tend to be easily discouraged by failed attempts.
I think I will just try to always have a "JOP-Sized" canvas ready and just have a list of JOP episodes I want to do when I feel uninspired for an original composition. Soon enough the inspiration will come back I guess!
"Orangy" tones and colors are my fav. So I really love this painting. All the trees and bushes are well executed. for someone not too inspired, that came out perfectly.

I prefer this to your pink version actually, i rarely paint these lush landscapes anymore and i stopped following bobs tutorials a long time ago because i also had a lack of inspiration, but now i am happy painting all kinds of different subjects, either an idea will pop into my mind or i may search the internet. Have you thought about stretching out in this way or are you happiest painting just landscapes?
