Decided on a Forest scene at sunset or sunrise with waterfalls and a stream. Some prep work with gesso.

Thank you Nivek :). I think the black canvases do make it a little easier. Although I have a tendency to put the horizon two far up when I gesso in advance. Gotta work on that.

BTW I know it sounds silly but your name reminded me of a place I used to work at in my teens. Pietro’s pizza :). Best pizza place ever in my neck of the woods till they closed. Was good money delivering pizza for a high school student back then. :)

This is really nice. Love the soft, hazy misty feel at the back. Really reminds me of early morning mist lingering about before the sun chases it off.

This is lovely, youve really captured the essence of a dark forest yet given us great distance in those far trees with an almost threatening sky in the background. Beautiful!
