This is a portrait of my father in law, age 19 in Vietnam. I call this one “Fearless”.

My father in law is one of a kind. He was navigator on an A-3 plane I believe. Will have to double check that. His brother was in the service in Vietnam at the same time so they shipped his brother to Korea. My father in law was shot down on his way back from a mission. They ended up landing in a rice paddy. The soldiers on both sides converged towards him. Luckily he was rescued by marines on the ground. To this day he struggles with ptsd over his Vietnam experiences.
He has had such an interesting life. I’m hoping he likes this for his birthday next week.
So touching! I have a soft spot in my heart for veterans! Please thank him for his service for me.

Thank you Nancy :) I will pass that onto him. I have a soft spot for veterans as well. His bday is the 28th so I plan to give it to him next week :)
