Thought I would try a star filled sky with a lighthouse. Think I will go back and make an adjustment or two. But enjoyed this one. Painting just to paint. 16x20.
I agree! :). You know what’s interesting to me? I can look at a painting I do and say I don’t like that one. Or that one is terrible. Or I should fix this or that. Then I will find it odd that someone really wants it (my teenage daughter fell in love with it. So it’s already hanging in her room). I can look at this one and say I like the sky but the water needs adjusting and the wave is too bright and I’m not crazy about the lighthouse. She sees no such problems. Then I will paint one that I love and think this looks great and will hear someone say “I’m not really crazy about that one”. Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. But yes I would prefer to make the eye look more white to match the moon. And the lighthouse needs a beam of light and the waves and ocean need some adjustments. But Bob Ross is right “the next painting will be better and if you’re plagued with un-satisfaction you will keep trying”. I appreciate your feedback and any tips you might also have for the lighthouse as well. Thanks :)
Actually the "corona" around the eye is pretty much correct, just a little yellow heavy in the centre is all.

Good effort Happy, i particularly liked the night sky...if you decide to go back to it as suggested i would probably reduce the intensity of colour in the waves "eye" ....good job!
