Did a study on Buck Paulson and his “Sunset Power” painting. I had a very different under acrylic to start with so used a different color scheme. Overall happy with how it turned out.

I’ve been meaning to try and follow one of Buck’s tutorials. How was it?
Sort of like Kevin Hill in that he jumps around quite a bit. When I first started watching him it was so overwhelming I had to walk away. Because it was so different from Bob’s traditional top to bottom backwards to forwards type of approach. I got a membership through Alexander art that lets you watch them over and over. Once you get used to his approach and style it’s fun to watch. I have difficulty with short term memory so I watch something over snd over and over before trying to attempt something similar. But I enjoy him so much now he has become my favorite seascape artist. Would recommend him to anyone interested in doing seascapes.
