This is an 18 by 24 inch canvas, primed with dark lavender and covered in assorted oils. Started with a sketch and then moved to a monochromatic painting before finalizing with colors. Light plays through the window of this painting that the viewer can decide the story on. Composition includes a rose laying on table, complete with morning coffee for two, an orange and an apple. The shades are drawn open as light filters through. A red and crimson drapery is hanging off the table of this sunrise seascape painting.
Awesome Daniel! Not only a fabulous painting but a romantic story to go along with it!
Thank you :)
Very nice!
Super Nice Daniel! It’s not easy to do 3D looking object. You nailed them all!
Hey Daniel , i Never tried something like that but in my eyes , you did a Great Job herr .Hats off 😎How long have you been working on it?
Thank you Nancy and Dirk :) Dirk, to answer your question I gessoed Wednesday night and let it dry. Then on Thursday I used 18 by 24 inch sketch paper and layed down a basic drawing using an actual coffee pot or Kirafe whatever it is called. I sketched the coffee cups. Then I used carbon paper and layed my large sketch over my canvas. Then retraced with a pencil. Then used a fixatif spray. Friday morning I started with my underpainting and monochrome colors. Then piddled with it on Saturday then finished yesterday but I had an idea in my mind ahead of time where I wanted to go with it except the rose was a Sunday idea to add. I don’t wash my brushes until I’m done and so my limit of painting is three days. Preferably two days at a few hours at s time. Otherwise the paint and brushes dry out.
Superb painting. Great!
