This is a simple little Ross inspired take wet on wet painting with a little imagination. Heck, it’s my world as Bob says… tips, criticism? Thx!!!

Great sky and mountains, and your trees are lush.
Its fun doing your own thing and a great way to learn. Its important to keep your waterlines horizontal along that left bank. Also if you alter the shape of the bank, so its not perfectly straight, so that it goes in and out a bit, you will then find places to put your horizontal waterlines. Should be an easy fix as you can cover up those waterlines with a bit of extended land in places and add a few new shorter ones. You will lose a bit of your reflections. Alternatively I guess you could leave the bank where it is and cover the waterlines over with more reflections, that might work but don't use just a transparent colour on its own or the waterlines will show through. Hope that helps.

great mountains and colors.Cheera,P

I really like your middle ground grays. They work with the going light to medium dark, and less detail to medium detail. I also found the angled water lines distracting in that they give direction to the movement of the water (off the page). You could add shoreline grass or rocks over that and if the rest is dry it wouldn't kill the nice reflections. Strong work overall.

I gotcha.. I was thinking it’s like a peninsula creating its one wave break but w the break of the water running horizontal to it throws it off a tad .. thx yall!!

I love how your pine trees were painted, they look great!🙂
