Could be the region of Iquitos perhaps, about the only big part of Peru that I haven't visited (been there 9 times!) but guess that's too close to the coca farmers/smugglers and you don't wanna be around them as a gringo!
Very well painted, lovely colours and I can only think of Gauguin when seeing such composition. WELL done!
