Original Creation

The Milky Way

JoJoSunshine 29 Jan 2021

This is an acrylic pour I did on a 12 x 12 inch canvas. I would love to see the Milky Way in person. In the meantime, I have this painting I did which has an abstract kind of feeling of the galaxy so thought I would share this with you guys. My favorite part is the extreme sheen on the gold paint. I also used Behr matte white paint in this. Let me know your thoughts via the comments section when you have a couple minutes. As always, much appreciated!🌌✨🌟✨🌌

Has more gold in it the the real Milky Way! I believe even table surfaces can becreated with this technique.

If you can, go for viewing the Milky way, it will be worth it.
I've seen it twice, in Iran between Esfahan and Teheran and once in Cabanaconde, central Peru, at 3000 meters altidue. Not a thousand but a million of stars were visible!
One trick though to view it properly, your eyes need to be able to adapt to the darkness first, so you have to be completely abscent of light for quite some minutes!

@Voy Kay Well I love the light like Jesus would say I am the way, the truth and the light. My name Jo Sunshine as well of the light. So I guess I can go online and look at really pretty photos of the Milky Way to see one million shining light and bright stars. Anyways thx for stopping by.

These are just fabulous, JoJo. We actually see the Milky Way every time we look up into a night sky . . . only it's not easy to see with all the artificial light pollution we have nowadays. I heard a great story once about a woman who moved to a small village in Ireland; she's unpacking that night when her son comes running and screaming for her to come outside. She goes out thinking a wild animal was wreaking havoc and stops stunned. She'd unknowingly moved to a Dark Site and never knew it. The town dowses their lights early, so there is literally zero light to dilute the God-made wonder of the heavens. You might use this site to find a Dark Site near you.
