Great job! I once did my husband in pencil - we are still laughing on that unknown man on paper. :)

Did you paint from photo or looking into mirror?
From a photo. I quickly learned that I can't draw eyes or nose.
You did great. Portraits are crazy difficult. Self portraits are super crazy difficult. I had a book and there was a section to try to draw self portrait in front of mirror. That was interesting and a super challenge. I think of trying it in oils one day. I know I will get a gremlin but still wanna try.
I think you have a wonderful experience to go for a next portrait. Don’t worry about nose and eyes it will come with practice.
I agree with Sunnylady, really well done. I’m always afraid to try portraits myself. You did really well!
