When I saw "Mountain Challenge" and "Western Expanse" I fell in love with the idea of painting with the knife. The impasto look of the painting when it dried was exactly what i wanted from my art.
I took those skills and started applying them to my own original works and have loved doing these.
This is a "quick and dirty" one i did as a warmup for a bigger piece, but i love the colors.
Making the evergreens is probably my favorite part. And adding iridescent paint as the final touch to make it shine!
