Teargas

I painted this shortly after the murder of George Floyd. Some of the photos of teargas in the news made me try to paint it with Bob Ross techniques. I made 2 paintings like this. I used a black canvas and under painted yellow ochre, alizarine crimson, Prussian blue , and van dyke brown etc, then used white on top as if I were making clouds in the sky. After that i sketched out the figures and blended them into the smoke.
