I hiked ~4 miles to the top of Big Powderhorn Mountain for this view! I sat in the grass amongst the bugs and tried to paint what I saw, while adding some fun artistic liberties. The structure in the distance is the Copper Peak ski jump, which can be seen for miles in Michigan’s upper peninsula.
It is a fantastic view and gorgeous painting!
