When I saw that sun, I had to think of Bill Alexander at first, of which several fellow artists made a recreation.

Those palmtrees are the true solemn pillars of this creation, with its sky on fire and those mighty waves.

A true GEM!!!

I thought about Bill Alexander at first too, not many paintings have such a wonderful and bright sky! Very nice seascape Kaylee!

That is fantastic. So detailed and vibrant.

Amazing! I absolutely love your landscapes AND seascapes. Wonderful color, detail and depth in each one! How much time do you average putting into one of your paintings and do you do them in one session? I have been wanting to create landscapes that are more exceptional (like yours), but have not broken that barrier yet. I am considering painting one over days (like when I paint my pet portraits) instead of one sitting.

Thanks everyone, you are all so kind! I watch a lot of Bill so I am certain his style shows in my creations, I just love his technique of sunsets and color pop especially and most importantly - his use of crimson 😍 I actually whipped this one up largely on my own yesterday I did have a photo of the beach in which I was painting and yes I have watched just about all of Bill Anderson’s Beach videos. For time, I would say it took me (with a lunch stop and a hearty glass of wine) about 5 hours.

I am somewhat of the impatient type. I prefer not to spend multiple days on a painting because it messes with the medium and therefore with my ability to work with it consistently. I also have the tendency to get entirely too picky and usually just need to move on with the piece, so to speak. I have had a few later evenings in which I would pick up the following day but 99% of the time I am starting and finishing a piece in one sitting or in a single day. I rarely spend more than 5 hours and actually prefer to finish in the 3-4 hour range so I can still get outside for a hike! My priorities are this - enjoy the painting, and don’t try too hard haha

Hope that answered all the questions! You all are so amazing, I just love this, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Bill Alexander! Haha Anderson what am I thinking
