Silver Falls-Nic Hankins

I challenged myself today with this Season 32 Joy of Painting episode (with Nic Hankins), using a 12" x 24" canvas. I painted this in a time-limited class and therefore had to paint much faster than I normally do. It was a great exercise in finding joy in the process, instead of anxiety in trying to make everything look perfect.
I thought this was such a beautiful, woodland scene, complete with a bonus waterfall. I would certainly be in my happy place if I ever got to visit Silver Falls State Park someday and stumble across this very scene :-)
