Photo by neighbor/friend BD – painted as a gift for him at his request and with permission. This was a very difficult composition due to the numerous dark shades of monochrome nature. I used artistic license and lightened things up a bit and simplified water and sand a lot. I learned a lot doing this - quite a challenge. 18x24 canvas panel.

This is a great painting. I have a picture of a similar scene and been trying to figure out how to get the reflection of the sun on the water. You did a great job on this!
