Original Creation

Peony

Lilikins 04 Feb 2021

Recreated from a photo on paint my photo taken by Irini Adler. https://pmp-art.com/irini-adler/gallery/17259/peonies-for-christine

It started out looking like the photo but then I went a bit rouge lol. This is my first painting in a month in a half so I was a little bit out of practice but overall I’m fairly pleased with how it came out.

Looks great, the details on the leaves are very nice.

Thank you Luna!
Thanks Felix! That was a fun challenge. I think I’m going to try another one for the contest this weekend when I have more time. I’m going to try to stay more true to the original next time and go less rouge :)

Wow soooo pretty. Looks just like a peony

Impressive work here! You nailed it! Great work on petals! A bit of mystery here though. Those circles they look very bubbly! Like Champagne!

This is lovely, and one of my favourite garden flowers. So old fashioned aren't they. Don't worry about the rouge, the red variety are gorgeous. The way you have made those petals curl is superb and the blend of colours is just perfect.

Wow Lilikins! You are getting soooo good! I just love seeing how much you have grown!

Boof and TLP thank you! I’m so glad it looks like a peony. They are my favorite flowers.

Sunnylady - It does look like champagne! The original photo also has the bubbles and honestly that’s why I chose this photo.

Doggymommee - thank you so much! I’m coming up on my one year painting anniversary in about a week. I can’t believe it’s been a year already!

This is beautiful and my second favourite flower after the cauliflower 😁

😂 I will have to paint you a cauliflower someday nivek
