Do you ever get an idea in your head at 3 in the morning that you just can't wait to paint? I think this idea was beyond my skill, but 4 hours later it came together pretty well.

Thanks everyone! I probably wouldn't have chosen this image to paint either, but when inspiration strikes at 3 am, you just gotta go down the path wherever it takes you. I pondered all night on how to make the scene less flat and decided to take a lesson from Bob Ross - put something big in the foreground to push the perspective back. I added a mailbox and tree streetside. (I added it to the extra photos)
Gotta love the whimsical child-like innocence of the Christmas season. You've captured that well in this painting!
